Administrator Webinars for CE Professional Development (Saba Centra)

Welcome! The following online administrator professional development sessions are geared toward administrators new to the Curriculum Engine (CE), those who want a comprehensive refresher on CE, as well as those wanting to learn more about features and updates. These online sessions are open to any CE user and the sessions are held using the Web conferencing software, Saba Centra. There is no advanced registration for these webinars. If you attend LIVE, your attendance will be noted in Pathlore. To attend a session, please complete the steps below:

Step 1: Select Topic of Focus (one or more)

CE 30 minute PD Sessions - These 30 minute sessions (below) will provide new and experienced CE users with information about specific areas of CE.

CE – Administrative Curriculum Engine - This session will provide an overview of the Engine for new Administrators.

Step 2: Registration

There is no registration needed for these online webinars. Just be sure to complete step 3 as soon as possible and no later than two hours before the webinar starts. Then, attend the live session of your choice or watch the playback at anytime.

Step 3: Check Saba Centra

Complete the following steps on the computer you will be using to attend the session. Complete these steps no later than two hours before the start of the session. If there are technical difficulties with your computer, you will want plenty of time to fix the problem(s).

  • 1. Plug in and turn on your speakers, headphones, or headset. You will only need to listen during these sessions (i.e., you are not required to have a microphone because participants can ask questions using text chat).
  • 2. Click on the following link to try loading a test course in Saba Centra: Test Saba Centra Presentation
    (The Test Saba Centra Presentation link will open in a new window/tab. You can come back to this window/tab at any time.)
  • 3. When prompted, type in your InterAct e-mail address (e.g., and click 'Attend in Browser'.
  • 4. If prompted, type in your First Name, Last Name, and desired Screen Name and then click 'Attend.' Make sure to use your First and Last name as they appear in InterAct. Your screen name is what will appear in the list of participants in the Saba Centra session. Again, click "Attend in Browser"

  • 5. The Audio Wizard should automatically be started when Saba Centra opens. If the Audio Wizard does not load automatically, click on the 'Audio' button in the top toolbar. Complete the Audio Wizard to ensure your speakers work. You are not required to have a microphone so you may skip the microphone check in the Audio Wizard.

  • 6. Once you complete the Audio Wizard, you can close the Saba Centra program and the browser window/tab you used to log into Saba Centra. Your computer is now ready to attend the Saba Centra session.

Step 4: Attend!

The day of the session, come back to this Web page, click on the link below that corresponds to your webinar, and log into Saba Centra with your InterAct e-mail address. Please plan on opening the Saba Centra link at least 20 minutes before it starts to ensure you do not have any connection issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

If a group of staff members all want to attends a LIVE webinar together, does each person need to attend the Saba Centra sessions individually?
No. One common arrangement schools make is to project the LIVE webinar in a computer lab or classroom. To receive Pathlore credit for the LIVE webinar, schools can print out the sign-in sheet (Download Sign-In Sheet), have the school administrator sign each page, and send them in school mail to April Holloway or Tim Rowe at location #131 or fax to 855-9769.

What is the structure of the webinar?
Each is a 30 minute overview of a specific section of CE. By providing shorter professional development opportunities, each teacher can focus in more easily and/or attend the session(s) that interests them most. The 60 minute webinars have a bit more detail so we've allowed for the extra time if needed.

Will I get credit for this webinar?
Participants who attend the full LIVE webinar will have the training appear on their Pathlore transcript. This webinar does not count for PDE/licensure credit. Participants will not receive any additional compensation. At the end of this Saba Centra session, participants will be prompted to complete a survey.

Technical Assistance

If you have difficulty getting the Saba Centra software to work, please try the following steps:
1. Saba Centra opens up in a new window, so ensure that if prompted you allow pop-ups.
2. Close your browser and repeat the steps.
3. Update your Java plugin by going to, downloading the updated software, and installing the updated software. You will need to completely restart your browser after completing this step.
4. Try the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser. You can download the latest version of the Firefox browser from After downloading, you will need to install the software and use this to access this page and Centra.
