Sharing calendar layers is one of the most powerful features of the Curriculum Engine, and it allows you to collaborate virtually with colleagues. You can share both viewing and editing rights for each layer as well as allow other teachers to search for and subscribe to your calendar layer.
Directions (Adding Viewers):
- Double click on the title of the calendar layer you want to edit (e.g.,).
- Click the button.
- Type in the name, or part of the name, of a teacher you want to add as a viewer.
- Click the button.
- Click the link next to the desired viewer's name.
Directions (Adding Editors):
If you want other teachers to become co-editors of the calendar layer, you can add them as editors and then they will be able to add calendar items, edit lesson plans, remove calendar items, etc…
- Double click on the title of the calendar layer you want to edit (e.g.,).
- Click the button.
- Type in the name, or part of the name, of a teacher you want to add as a co-editor.
- Click the button.
- Click the link next to the desired co-editor's name.
Directions (Remove Viewers/Editors Access):
- Double click on the title of the calendar layer you want to edit (e.g.,).
- Click the link to the right of each viewer/editor you want to remove.
Directions (Discovery/Sharing Options):
The two discovery/sharing options are:
- School - the calendar layer can be subscribed to by any other teacher with the same location code.
- District - the calendar layer can be subscribed to by any teacher in the District.
- Double click on the title of the calendar layer you want to edit (e.g.,).
- Select the discovery/sharing option(s) you want.
- To save changes to the calendar layer, click on the button.
